I’ve noticed some odd symptoms for the past few months now that have been bothering me. everyone insists its nothing and it might be but I’m a pretty anxious person and can’t see a doctor for a few more weeks so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Ok so the main thing is that I’ve noticed these fasciculations of my left eye. They come and go but are pretty annoying. These same twitches now seem to be happening randomly on different parts of my body, just for a second at a time. I feel like this has been happening for a while but it seems to be more so now. I’ve also noticed fatigue lately, I’ve been getting enough sleep but I’m still tired. I get some headaches that come and go but those seem normal enough, they only other odd thing is a rushing, pulsating tinnitus in my ear. I have a ringing tinnitus in both ears always (probably from my iPod or concerts) but in my left ear I notice if I get up or lay down quickly i feel a rushing sound that pulsates with my heart beat for about 10-15 seconds then stops. Some of these symptoms have been happening for months, they haven’t seemed to get worse but this eye and random body twitching on top of everything else is what has me a little spooked. Any information at all would be great, thanks a lot.
I work with a gal that has a disabled husband and she is in need of new hearing aids, which from what I understand cost around ,000. She lives in Georgia. Is there anywhere she can apply for assistance to help with the cost? We work in a doctors office and are on the phone alot. Someone please help.
The phone overtime will get too greasy on the screen. When you place it on your ear to talk to someone, the screen will get greasy, and if its a woman, it will get full of make up and get dirty easy. Yeah granted, you can load tons of music and movies because of the size of the harddrive, but because of the big screen what if you drop it? It will have this huge scratch all over, or, if it breaks, that’s it -you go get a replacement and go through the hazzles. If you need the internet, it will be hard to type, with the the tiny pen. I wouldn’t pay 0 for a phone if it has no keyboard. I’ll stick with my Treo and my ppc 6700.

So, I have a ringing in one ear around 4 kHz, and slightly reduced sensitivity to frequencies around that range as well (though it may be a result of the ringing masking that range). The average person probably wouldn’t notice the small change, but as a musician and a sound technician, I notice it. Though I do listen to loud music, I also bear OSHA standards in mind, as well as the common sense to turn it down if it hurts. I mix live music around 90-95 dB(A), and at about the same volume in my car. In the rare cases I go to concerts, I always bring ear plugs. (I learned the first time!) Given all that, there is only a small window of time before I started taking precautions that damage could’ve resulted from sound. I’ve never left any music-related event with ringing in my ears that I can remember.
So more about this, there’s not just ringing, but heightened sensitivity to spontaneous sounds (tearing paper from a spiral notebook slowly, or water tinkling) that cause my ear to sort of pulsate in direct response to the sound. Strangely, that sensitivity seems to be absent in music, as it only seems to appear when the sound is spontaneous out of near-complete silence. Additionally, I’ve noticed increased physical sensitivity, and decreased ear wax production (as compared to my other ear). If I were to pull my ears gently up or down, it might hurt one. Also of interest is that it sometimes pops somewhere inside, which can’t be good. This has been ongoing for a couple years now, and hasn’t really gotten any worse. I still have great hearing in general, but I often find myself trying to listen with my other ear to quieter sounds. Also noticed that my ear canal seems slightly smaller. I don’t know if it’s always been that way or not.
I’m kind of suspecting *maybe* a magnesium deficiency. I also have small muscle twitches in random places, particularly my arms or legs, that I read might be caused from magnesium deficiency. I thought of giving supplements a try to see what happens, but how much is too much?
I wondered if anyone else might’ve had a similar experience.
ever since I started having loud tinnitus and vertigo I’ve had trouble sleeping. I’ve been getting increasingly stressed out. what kind of conditions/symptoms can persistent lack of sleep cause? what should I watch out for? what’s the safest option to help get back to a normal sleeping routine?
