For the past 15 years now I have had tinnitus or ringing in the ears which seems to be getting worse. Are there any known cures for tinnitus?

okay im 14 and i have had ringing in my right ear for 2 months . i doctoros about a month ago for the first time and he ask me if i could pop my ears , i poped my LEFT ear and siad yes has i thought the right poped too , he then siad i HAD a inflammed ear cuased by a viral ear infection and there was nothing he could do , he siad for me to get a hearing test but the hearing test is not open till the 20th , so its gonna be about 2 months since i have seen him , the night after the docots i found out i couldnt pop my right ear and i havent been able to pop my right ear for the whole time but i diidnt relise , and about 3 weeks ago my LEFT ear started popoing sometiems when i moved my jaw , is this important and sould i go see my doctor now or wait till i get my hearing test as this is not that important , i raelly want it to go away , i cry 5 tiems a day and i just want silence , any chance it will go away , i haven smiled in 8 weeks /………….. oh and i some times get a little random pain in both my ears but it only last 10 secs , does this mean i COULD still have the infection and he could give me anbiobtics and then the ringing would stop or will the ringing never stop , i took a hearing test on the phone and i got good hearing in the RIGHT ear which is the ringing ear and the ear i cant pop ……. and in the left ear which pops sometiems when i move my jaw i got slight hearing loss ………. does this mean anything………… will my ringing go away or am i stuck with it for life……… i havent been happy in 2 months , i just want silence , its my 8 week hoildays and there almost over and i havent been happy ………. sould i see the docots before the 20th or just wait as there is nothing they can do

It is just scary to watch my gran suffering with ear ringing! The tinnitus is not the worst though, because she battles to get her overall health seems to be getting worse. It appears that as she is so stressed and up tight, she can’t sleep much and always seems to catch every infection that is doing the rounds. My theory is that this related to the tinnitis? I am looking for a tinnitus treatment for her.

I have Meniere’s Disease and normally just have loud, loud tinnitus in my right ear – constantly. I’ve lost most of the hearing in my right ear. Sometimes, however, it pulses with my heart and this worries me greatly.
I was first diagnosed with Meniere’s Disease when I was 13 years old. I have seen many doctors. But something that has fallen through the cracks is this: when I was 15, I was supposed to have an MRI. However, I got very claustrophobic and could not carry through with it. I was meant to be in again, to be rescheduled, but it fell through the cracks and we all forgot about it.
The cause of my pulsatile tinnitus was never found. I had an EKG when I was 16. I am 21 now. Doctors have sort of labelled me "Meniere’s Disease" and decided that that is that and there can be no treatment because doctors don’t know anything about Meniere’s Disease.
Lately I am scared that if it is something serious causing the occasional pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear, it has gone undiagnosed for so many years. This terrifies me to the point where I am scared to go in to see the doctor. What could be causing this? What should I do?
Could this be genetic? My mom has the same pulsatile tinnitus but has never seen a doctor about it. I didn’t know that it could be serious until now, really.

I have mild narcolepsy. I don’t take any medications. I don’t even take vitamins or herbal stuff. I have tinnitus. I am 30 years with no hearing loss. On contrary, I have perfect hearing and am healthy I had a hearing test and an MRI. Both results were perfect. My ear, nose, and throat specialist stated that the reason for my tinnitus is unknown. Is it possible that my tinnitus (buzzing in my ears) is caused by narcolepsy?
Thank you for your answers.
